Do you know that there are a few things that people miss out in using their iPods? iPod is the latest portable media player produced by Apple capable of storing thousands of mp3 goodies. But beside from that, there are other things that are included in the said player that most people overlook. I can not blame them for doing so. Being able to play thousands of music mp3s and movies is a feature that can surely occupy anyone. Anyhow, I would like to share what I have discovered with my free iPod so that anyone who has one may be able to find some other use for it or to make good use of the features of the gadget for maximum enjoyment.

I remember an instance where I needed an alarm clock to get me up on time in the morning. I looked for my old alarm clock but realized that it is not working anymore. I was browsing through my music collection using my free iPod Touch when I realized that it has a built-in alarm clock system. Try checking it out and configure it to the desired settings. Choose the alarm sound you wanted among your mp3 list or you could also use the default sound. When you already have set it, place it on home speaker platform for iPod. Remember to keep the speaker on. And voila! You will wake up to the sound of your favorite song the next morning.

If you often fallen asleep listening to your iPod, there is one safety feature that you should also check out to protect yourself from going deaf in case you accidentally pumped up the volume while you are sleeping. There is a volume cap in the settings menu which would even out the maximum volume of the songs. You have to set this up especially if there are children using the iPod.

Another good thing about the iPod is that it can also serve as a backup for your contact numbers of your friends. You should store the important numbers on your iPod so that the next time your phone fails, at least you’ll have a reference where to look and be able to make that phone call.

If you have some friends asking you for a copy of your songs, here is something to make them remember you by. You can attach your own photo on you mp3 so that when they make a copy of your songs and play it on their own iPod, they will see your picture when the player hits that specific song.

There are many features that I have yet to discover about my iPod. But I hope you find something useful with this recent discovery of mine. If you do not have an iPod yet, you must get one.
